 Welcome to Trinity Presbyterian Church

Trinity Presbyterian Church is a welcoming congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) where you will find diverse people of all ages learning about and following Christ as we tackle life’s challenges, discover and use our God-given talents, have fun, and mature spiritually.

We frequently sing a song that contains the lyrics “all are welcome in this place,” and this phrase truly reflects Trinity’s diversity and caring spirit.  With Trinity’s wide range of activities and programs for all ages, there is something for everyone.  We are young and older, single and married, long-time residents, and folks new to the area.  We are seekers looking for answers in a place where we can grow.

At the same time we celebrate our diversity, we also celebrate the cohesiveness of Trinity.  You’ll find a spirit of cooperation and commitment to the glory of God guiding the work of Trinity’s members and staff.

Trinity Pastor Recognized with City of Wilmington Award

Pastor Brad Martin was honored with a medal and plaque during the October 5, 2011 Wilmington Awards ceremony.  Brad was nominated for the Community Service award by the Wilmington Fire Department.  He was one of 15 citizens and 4 organizations recognized. Following is the text read during the presentation of the award by Mayor James M. Baker:

"Reverend Brad Martin is the Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Chaplain for the Wilmington Fire Department.  As Pastor, his ministry includes preaching, teaching and providing for those in need.  As Head of Staff at Trinity, he oversees an extremely loyal staff who appreciate his guidance and concern for individuals and families in need.  As Chaplain of the Wilmington Fire Department, Rev. Martin has served as the officiant of many firefighter weddings and has been a constant visitor to firefighters who were injured in the line of duty.  He has participated in every departmental funeral, including those for retired members, and has been present at the funerals of family members of the department.

Rev. Martin is a Chaplain who responds to working fires. Whether day or night, winter or summer, Rev. Martin suits up in his turnout gear and arrives at the scene.  In cold weather, he is the one plugging in a coffee pot to a generator to give the firefighters a little warmth. In hot weather, you will find him handing out bottles of ice-cold water.  His presence on the scene is often needed to provide spiritual assessment to the fire victims.  His calm demeanor is a blessing during the chaotic moments.  Every fire, hospital visit, meeting, funeral, and weekly visits to each station, are conducted without any monetary assistance from the city.  Rev. Martin gives of himself wholeheartedly.  His dedication to the Fire Department and to the citizens of Wilmington cannot be matched."
