Meet the Staff of Trinity Presbyterian Church


 

Rev. Brad Martin, Parish Pastor

Brad Martin, originally from western Pennsylvania, came to the New Castle Presbytery in 1984 after graduating from Princeton Seminary.  Brad currently serves on Presbytery Council and chairs the Human Resources Committee.  He has been Trinity’s pastor since 1991, enjoying all aspects of ministry from the summer workcamp to Appalachia with youth to preaching and teaching to working with Trinity's teams at Emmanuel Dining Room and Habitat for Humanity.

   

 

Rev. Barbara Price-Martin, Parish Associate Co-Pastor

Barbara Price-Martin provides leadership in education, programming, music and worship.  In addition, she is a pastoral counselor in private practice.  She serves on the Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry and with CIFT, Career Insights for Teens, a career counseling program of New Castle Presbtery. 

 

 

 

 

Kim Robbins, Director of Ministry Development and Church School Coordinator

Kim Robbins moved to north Wilmington from the Philadelphia area with her family, in 1963.  They became members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in 1964.  After graduating from the University of Delaware, Kim taught special education students in the Brandywine School District until she retired in January 2003.  Kim became Trinity’s Director of Ministry Development in February 2003.  She enjoys working with fellow staff members in all aspects of church life.  Kim’s greatest pleasure is working with the members of the Ministry Development Leadership Team to help church members discover their God-given gifts and talents and to encourage the sharing of those gifts and talents with others.

   

 

Penny Lindell, Christian Educator

Penny Lindell has been on Trinity’s staff as part-time Christian Educator since 1995.  Penny’s main responsibility is youth programming, primarily for the Middle School Confirmation process, and the annual Senior High Summer workcamp week, but she puts in her two cents in many other areas as well.

   

Mark Sobol, Director of Music

 

Mark Sobol has been with Trinity for more than 14 years.  Mark has a background in classical and jazz music, as well as chorale conducting.  Mark likes working with all ages and different genres of music which fits perfectly with Trinity's blended worship services.  Mark was born in the former Soviet Union and began studying piano in a program for gifted children at the age of six.  He holds degrees in music education and piano performance.   When not at Trinity, Mark teaches general music in the Philadelphia school system.  Mark is very proud of the music program at Trinity and welcomes all newcomers--whether at the advanced, intermediate or beginners level.

Jim and Phyllis Albert, Associates for Visitation

Jim and Phyllis Albert, originally from the metropolitan New York area, came to Delaware from college in 1967, when Jim took a sports reporter's job with the Wilmington News-Journal.  They joined Trinity a year later.  Jim worked at the News-Journal for 30 years as a writer and editor in sports.  They began visitation ministry at Trinity in 1986 and were officially installed in 1996, the year Jim retired from the newspaper.  Jim has been a deacon, and Phyllis a crew captain at Emmanual Dining Room.

   

 

Mary McDowell, Office Administrator

Mary McDowell, having taught 12 years as a teacher and spending 12 years in the business world, is now beginning her 12th year as Trinity’s Office Administrator.  Mary joined Trinity in 1983, has served as a Deacon and Elder, and was Co-Coordinator of Children’s Church.   Mary’s newest ministry can be seen in Trinity’s pews every Sunday—the Bear Ministry.  These teddy bears are distributed by members to anyone who’s in need of a little love from a teddy bear. 

   

 

Suzanne LeComte, Children’s Church Coordinator

Suzanne LeComte graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in English and Secondary Education and from West Chester University with an Elementary Education Degree.  Suzanne taught in New Jersey and is currently teaching in Delaware.  For the past several years, Suzanne has been coordinating Children’s Church.  Suzanne also is the coordinato of Vacation Bible School.

Emily Schwenker, Associate for Spiritual Formation and Direction

Emily Schwenker graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2008 and was ordained in March 2009 to the Validated Specialized Ministry of Spiritual Direction.  She offers regular spiritual guidance to a growing number of seminarians, clergy and lay persons in the Wilmington and Lancaster areas.  In addition to her spiritual direction practice and work with Trinity's youth, Emily leads small groups and retreats on subjects of spiritual growth and awareness, is a Ministerial Guide at Lancaster Seminary, and serves on New Castle Presbytery's Commmittee on Preparation for Ministry.

Chris Dean-Theibault, Associate for Youth

Chris Dean-Theibault grew up in Wilmington and attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church for much of his life where he was active in the handbell choir and youth group.  Chris moved to Exton, PA where he met his wife Jenna.  Chris and Jenna were married in September 2008 and have made Trinity their new church home.  Chris current works in Philadelphia for Oracle.

Jenna Theibault-Dean, Associate for Young Moms Ministry

Jenna Theibault-Dean moved to Delaware in September of 2008 from West Chester University, where she obtained her master's degree in Clinical Psychology.  Jenna currently works as a drug and alcohol counselor at Brandywine Counseling.   She is married to Chris Dean-Theibault and together they found Trinity as their church home.  Shortly after becoming members at Trinity, Jenna and Chris received a calling to become involved with young adult missions.  In 2012, they transitioned into their current ministries.
