What To Expect at a Sunday Service

The Sunday worship service starts at 9:30 a.m.  Ushers and greeters at the back of the church will provide you with a bulletin with the order of the service and can also answer any questions.  Ushers can also provide you with a large-print bulletin and a personal listening device.  Feel free to sit anywhere.  Dress as you feel comfortable.  You’ll find others dress in a range of styles—from casual jeans to business attire. The worship service is a “blended” service mixing a traditional style of worship and hymns with more contemporary music and technology.  Worship services vary throughout the year so you’ll find something different happening each week.  As you depart, a greeter at the back door will also be available to answer any questions or show you around.

If you’re a parent, you’ll find a safe, fun environment for your children.  Nursery is available for children under age 4.  Children age 4 through Grade 4 participate in the first 15 minutes of the worship service and then attend an interactive, high-energy Children’s Church program.

Comments From Recent Visitors/New Members

Here’s what some recent visitors and new members have had to say about their initial experiences in visiting Trinity.

Tyrone:  “I felt the need for a more fulfilling spiritual life, and a neighbor brought me to Trinity one Sunday.  I’ve been coming ever since.  Trinity is a warm, caring church and a place where I find spiritual encouragement.”

Michele: “My daughter got involved with Trinity’s youth group program through some of her friends who belong to Trinity.  A few days into the new school year, a classmate asked my daughter what church her family attended, and she regretfully responded that we didn’t really go to church.  She came home that day and said ‘Mom, I want us to go to Trinity this Sunday.’  I felt very comfortable attending Trinity’s services, and I’m very glad she’s involved with the youth program.”

Linda:  “A little more than 30 years ago my Mom began coming to Trinity and after a few years she started bringing my children.  I had stopped going to church and then we moved away.  We recently moved back, and my grandchildren wanted to go to church.  Like others, I feel very comfortable here.  I am excited about the different ways Trinity is helping so many people through local mission projects and outreach.”

Betty:  “I visited some other churches but it wasn’t until I came to Trinity that I felt I was at the right church for me.   I enjoy the friendship and like so many others have said I just feel comfortable here.”

Natalie: “The church I grew up in wasn’t geared towards children so as a result we pretty much just slept through the services and went home.  Now that we’re starting a family, I wanted a church that involved the children and kept them interested.  Trinity certainly keeps the spiritual growth and development of children as a priority.  The kids are often involved in the services and not on the sidelines.”

Henry:  “I’ve been a Presbyterian all my life and decided to come give Trinity a try.  Everyone welcomed us with open arms and I’m excited about becoming a member.  Trinity is a place where you just feel like you’re at home right away.”

Ida:  “I still have questions about my faith, but I find Trinity is a place where I can think and talk about them.  I was initially afraid my nine year old might be too cool for church school and my four year old too shy.  But they absolutely love it and want to come to Trinity.  When I mention we’re attending the Inquirers class and might become members, my nine year old says, ‘We are going to become members at Trinity.”
